Hey there, hope you're following the In Other Words updates. Myna Wallin hosts on the second Tuesday of every month. I've been hosting for 5 years! It's still exciting every time -- and tomorrow, Tues. May 11th, at 2 p.m., I'm doing a live interview with poet Adebe D.A. who has just had a first book published with Frontenac House, part of the Dektet series, called Ex Nihilo.

About the author:

Adebe D.A. is a writer whose words travel between Toronto and New York City. She recently completed her MA at York University, where she also served as Assistant Editor for the arts and literary journal Existere. She won the Toronto competition in 2005, to become the first Toronto Junior Poet Laureate!

Tuesday, April 20, 2010 - Info & Resources for Today's Show with Author Mary K. Armstrong

Today my guest Mary K. Armstrong, author of Confessions of a Trauma Therapist: A Memoir of Healing and Transformation, tells the story of her own childhood sexual abuse and how she helps others with their trauma.

Her book will be available starting tomorrow, April 21st at Chapters Indigo and Amazon.ca. It is $24.95 and $20 at the launch party, with $5 going to Women's College Hospital and a Women Recovering from Abuse Program.

The launch is being held on Wednesday, April 28th at Women's College Hospital at 7 pm. Guest speakers include authors Sylvia Fraser and Michele Landsberg.
