CKLN 88.1FM's In Other Words Seeks New Host/Programmer
CKLN's "In Other Words" is an established radio show that focuses on literature and spoken word – poetry, fiction, non fiction, small press, and anything in between. We are looking for a new programmer / host for one Tuesday of the month at 2pm.
If you’re interested, please let us know. Send a letter of intent, listing relevant experience (radio experience would be great but is by no means necessary), your areas of literary interest, and what you'd like to focus on in the show. The position would begin as soon as possible, and training would be provided. You would also be welcome to observe existing programmers and hosts in action.
As one of several hosts, you would be responsible for producing, organizing and delivering the content of your assigned Tuesday. Each host/programmer has their own style, which ensures variety and diversity week to week on In Other Words.
Please consider the following when applying: What kinds of writers or performers would you like to feature? Do you prefer interviews or recordings, or a combination of both? In addition to producing a monthly show, hosts must be able to commit to technical training, once-a-year fundraising, CKLN meetings and occasionally filling in for other hosts.
